Function

Ceramic artist Emily Brookfield creates miniature ceramic chair sculptures. Objects that invite curiosity and nostalgia.

Each piece is hand-built in her Melbourne studio using stoneware clay and finished with unique and expressive glazes. Each chair carries their own distinct personality.

Emily has robbed the chair of its intended functional purpose to celebrate its form and alter the way in which we interact with, and attach meaning to this familiar object.

For the curators, collectors, design lovers, and anyone drawn to the magic of small things.
