Coming up this October for Craft Contemporary
I am excited to announce that I will be part of two group exhibitions this October as part of Craft Victoria’s 2022 Craft Contemporary festival line up.
Craft Contemporary (1–31 October) is Craft Victoria’s annual festival amplifying the practice of craft in a state-wide gathering of talks, live demonstrations, exhibitions and more. Contemporary expressions of craft are explored within gallery, retail, educational and public spaces, calling attention to its ubiquitous and engaging presence.
Concurrence
Opening night event Friday 30th December 6pm - 9pm
Warrandyte Pottery Studio, Warrandyte
Six female identifying ceramic artists come together to inquire into what informs their practice as a community of women in the contemporary world of ceramics.
Each artist will explore their practice individually and come together to partake in a group pit firing to complete their pieces for the exhibition. Native trees will be planted around the area of Warrandyte where the pit firing will take place to offset the emissions created from the firing and giving back to the community.
Concurrence is a month long exhibition held at Warrandyte Pottery Studio, situated on the banks of the Yarra River. The exhibition will run through to 30th October.
