Mid Year Update

This year has just flown by and I can’t believe we are already in July! You’ve probably heard that so much in the last few weeks and may have said it yourself as well. But it really has gone so quick! I’m updating you all on what I’ve been up to and what I am planning for the second half of 2024.

If you weren’t aware, I travelled back to Japan this past April to spend a month in the countryside making and firing the Anagama wood firing kiln with American potter John Dix. This was such an amazing experience as I was able to further build upon the knowledge and skills I’d learnt from my first Anagama firing in Japan back in 2022 on residency at Shiro Oni Studio.

I am very pleased to announce that I will be exhibiting the work I have made over the past two trips to Japan in spring this year and more information including presale will be shared with you over the next month or so, so keep an eye out for that.

In other news…

I have been slowly creating a capsule collection of pieces for the home that will be available on my website and in the gallery at Warrandyte Pottery. I will be releasing this collection mid August. It’s going to be cute, colourful and bold with functional pieces and objet d’Art. My focus for these pieces has been to make things that I would enjoy in my own home and use everyday. I am very much looking forward to sharing this collection with you soon.

One on one lessons are available

The last thing I’d like to mention is that I will be opening up my home studio in Lilydale for one on one tuition. If you enjoy working on the wheel and want to spend time improving skills or if you have never tried the wheel and want to give it a go, I am offering 2hour sessions on the wheel from the 15th July. Click here for more info on one on one tuition.

Thanks for reading along! If you aren’t already, you can follow along on my social media below to see what I’m up to.
